Borned in 1986 in Vancouver. Following graduation from American Collegiate Insitute, received undergraduate education in Political Science at Sabancı University and graduate education at Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus–Senftenberg. Holds a Ph.D. from Istanbul University and is an associate professor. 

Taught courses on foreign policy and political history courses at universities. Author of four books, has many academic articles and newspaper columns.
